No…let’s talk about love, sex, & money

Let’s talk about going off to college

And trying to be “grown”

Let’s talk about owning cars, buying our own spots, & partying all night long

Let’s talk about dating, kissing, & making babies

Let’s talk about job interviews, shopping malls, & dinner at Park 52

Let’s talk about bills & rent being due

Let’s talk about tuition seekers & folks who give scholarships back because they weren’t happy at school

Let’s talk about drugs & alcohol

These are most of the things we focus on while we’re getting "grown"

All the poems, songs, & movies are about either love, sex, & violence

But…people don’t seem to talk about home

That place that you go right back to after or during the process of “getting grown”

After you were in a hurry to get out & be “grown”

We all find ourselves....... back…..home.
