An Art To Thrifting or Young & Poor with Style ??

Whatever you want to call it....
Thrifting is indeed an art, but thrifting is not for everybody. I've learned that you really have to be dedicated to look past the smells of old closets, be willing to dirty your hands, and become as creative as possible.

Thrifting can either become your best friend or worst enemy. You can even go into the store & leave with something vintage at a cheap price or become pressured by your mind & buying things that you know you will never wear. Actually, there has been many times when I became pressured because I thought something was so unique & cheap that I had to buy it, but still to this day....those items rest dusty in the back of my closet.

So here is advice:
  •  Try to find items that are still new! It is common for people to buy things that they do not need so as a result to that...they will donate or sell their items to a thrift store.
  • Buy Art!! Decorate your walls with all types of different styles
  • Take your time & look through the racks because you could find your blessing.
  • Always CLEAN your items before your wear or store them in your homes...the goal is to avoid bed bugs.
  • Last but not least, invest in blazers and trench coats (trust, there are many)
Last week, I did some thrifting with some friends. Here are some of our moments at Belmont Army in Boystown (North-Side of Chicago)

  1. It is definitely an art to it because I don't have the patience sometimes. My girlfriend Vickie goes and comes out with bags and I come out with silverware,,,lol. I plan on attempting to do it again this weekend. Wish me well....
